My name is Ramsey Rye and I have been tattooing since 2006. I have been a professional artist for most of my adult life and I have enjoyed making art since my earliest memories.
I studied art at Cornish College of the Fine and Performing Arts in Seattle, Washington. After that I went on to open my own mural and custom sign painting business called RRR Graphics and I operated that successfully for several years.
I am very happy to be tattooing now. Tattoo clients bring me all kinds of different ideas and stories and it is my pleasure to translate those ideas into works of art that they can wear on their bodies for the rest of their lives.
I have explored many mediums of art over the years and have enjoyed all of them, but none as much as tattoo. Tattooing is challenging. Every client has different skin, different needs and varying levels of tolerance. Balancing these needs with the application of the tattoo is difficult, but I love the challenge. What other art form has such a diverse canvas? It’s a lot of fun.
