Hi, I’m Jupiter (she/her) but most people call me JD – either is fine by me! I finished my apprenticeship at Old School in 2023 after working here for several years at the front desk and then as Salvatore’s apprentice.

 

My main goal as a professional body piercer is to make people *happy*. I know that sounds kind of silly right off the bat, but it’s true! Body modification is an extremely powerful tool that allows people regardless of race, sex, gender, identity, age, etc. to become more fully themselves. It’s an outward symbol that represents who we are inside, and it often allows us to present ourselves to the world the way that we want to be seen. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been pierced and felt afterwards that it was ALWAYS meant to be – that it’s just another thing that is helping me to more fully embrace who I am as myself.

 

When I’m not here at Old School, I’m at home playing with my kids (most likely by watching them play Fortnite or them showing me silly TikTok videos), playing with my dog (Isabelle), or doing home projects (renovating something, painting something, tearing something apart…that type of stuff!). I also like to read, and I do a lot of writing and personal journaling. I’m a pisces, HSP, queer, sensitive human who just wants the world to be full of love. Thanks for reading!
